Community Guidelines for Social Media

The Retail NZ social media pages are managed by Retail NZ. They are a welcoming space for conversation and sharing information. We encourage open discussion about issues related to the retail industry and we welcome all feedback on our services.

By participating on any of the Retail NZ social pages, you are agreeing to our guidelines and to interact with fellow commenters in a way that is respectful and supportive.


We may delete posts which are:

  • racist, sexist, homophobic or other forms of hate-speech
  • potentially libelous or defamatory
  • spam or commercial
  • personal attacks, offensive language, abuse and threats
  • off-topic or irrelevant to the thread of conversation.

Repeatedly violating these guidelines will result in being removed from the page. You can help by notifying us of potential problems and encouraging each other to keep conversations appropriate. If you spot something you think is inappropriate please let us know by email.
