The Health & Safety In Retail guide explains your legal obligations and employer responsibilities, and gives you some advice on steps you should take to think about health and safety in your retail business. This guide is, of necessity, general in nature. Unfortunately, no two retail businesses are exactly the same, so the steps you need to take will be unique to your business. Some businesses may have significantly more risk than others because of the things they sell, their logistics arrangements, or the equipment they use. It is your responsibility to make sure that you are looking at your specific workplace, and keeping your people safe.
