By purchasing a ticket to the 2026 Retail NZ Awards (“the Event”), you agree to the following terms and conditions.
By purchasing a ticket to the 2026 Retail NZ Awards (“the Event”), you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Event Details
1.1 The Event will be held on 3 September 2026 from 6.00pm at the Hilton Auckland, Princes Wharf.
1.2 Retail NZ reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the Event programme, speakers, MC, entertainment, or timing where necessary (see also Clause 12).
2. Ticket Sales
2.1 Tickets are sold on a first‑come, first‑served basis and are subject to availability.
2.2 Ticket sales will close on 20 August 2026, unless sold out prior.
3. Payment
3.1 Payment must be received prior to the Event booking deadline of 20 August 2026.
3.2 All prices are exclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.
3.3 Tickets are not confirmed until payment has been received in full.
4. Cancellations, Refunds and Transfers
4.1 Tickets are non‑refundable for change of mind, inability to attend, illness, or travel disruption.
4.2 Tickets may be transferred to another person from the same organisation at no cost, provided Retail NZ is notified in writing at least 48 hours prior to the Event.
4.3 If the Event is cancelled by Retail NZ, ticket holders will be offered a full refund or a transfer to a rescheduled date, where applicable (see Clause 10 – Force Majeure).
5. Attendance and Admission
5.1 This is an 18+ event. Valid photo ID may be required for entry.
5.2 Retail NZ reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any attendee whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, inappropriate, or who is intoxicated or behaving in a manner that poses a risk to themselves or others, without refund (see also Clauses 6 and 11).
5.3 Attendees must comply with all venue rules, applicable laws, and all health and safety requirements in place at the time of the Event (see Clause 11). This includes not bringing your own food and/or drinks into the venue.
5.4 We are committed to the responsible service of alcohol. In accordance with the law, the venue reserves the right to refuse service to any person who is, or appears to be, intoxicated.
5.5 Failure to comply with reasonable requests from Retail NZ, venue management, or security may result in removal from the Event.
6. Food, Beverage and Dietary Requirements
6.1 Tickets include food and beverages as specified for the Event.
6.2 Selected beverages will be hosted by the organiser up to a pre-set limit. Following this, service will continue as a cash bar, with all subsequent drink payable by the guest.
6.3 Once the bar tab limit has been exhausted, any additional drinks must be purchased directly by the attendee.
6.4 Attendee details and any dietary requirements must be provided to Retail NZ by EOD 20 August 2026 (see Clause 9).
6.5 Dietary requirements supplied after 20 August 2026 cannot be guaranteed and may not be catered for.
6.6 As per clause 5.3 attendees may not bring their own food and drink onto the premises.
7. Photography, Video and Recording
7.1 A professional photographer appointed by Retail NZ will be in attendance at the Event.
7.2 By attending, you consent to being photographed or recorded for use in Retail NZ marketing, promotional, and reporting materials, including digital and social media channels (see Clause 9).
7.3 If you would like to bring your own photographer or videographer, a formal request to Retail NZ ([email protected]) must be made in advance.
7.4 Any external photographers or videographers must be courteous of, and must not impede, the official Event photographer, who has precedence at all times.
7.5 Attendees may not record or stream the Event for commercial purposes.
8. Liability
8.1 Attendees participate in the Event at their own risk.
8.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Retail NZ is not liable for any loss, damage, injury or expense suffered in connection with attending the Event (subject to Clause 10).
9. Privacy
9.1 Personal information collected during ticket purchase, including attendee names and dietary requirements, will be used by Retail NZ for Event administration and communications.
9.2 Attendee details and dietary information will be shared with the Event venue and relevant suppliers solely for catering, operational, and Health & Safety purposes (see Clause 11), in accordance with applicable privacy laws and the Retail NZ Privacy Policy.
10. Force Majeure
9.1 Retail NZ will not be liable for any delay, disruption, postponement or cancellation of the Event where such circumstances are beyond its reasonable control (“Force Majeure Event”).
9.2 A Force Majeure Event includes, but is not limited to, acts of God, natural disasters, fire, flood, earthquake, pandemic or epidemic, public health emergencies, government restrictions, industrial action, power failure or venue unavailability.
9.3 If a Force Majeure Event occurs, Retail NZ reserves the right to cancel, postpone, relocate or modify the Event.
9.4 In such circumstances, ticket holders may be offered a transfer to the rescheduled or relocated Event or a refund at Retail NZ’s discretion.
10. Health, Safety and Venue Conditions

12. Changes to Terms
12.1 Retail NZ reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
12.2 Any updates will be published on the Retail NZ website and apply from the date of publication.
