Devonport Chocolates was a family run business for 30 years before Sarah took over the business 14 months ago. Everything was going alright for the business since the takeover, until they were hit with their first natural disaster this year.
Sarah discusses how having a plan to be prepared helped them get through the Auckland flooding and how they plan to update their plan to ensure they can continue doing business in future events.
“We had to reflect back on our BCP and put that in action so that we could go forward and make sure we could still supply quality chocolates for our customers“.
