On 1 April, 2026, in addition to the annual minimum wage increase, the minimum KiwiSaver contribution will change from 3% to 3.5 % for employers and employees. Employers should provide notice of these changes to their employees in writing in advance, and ensure that copies of the notices are stored with employment records, as per record keeping obligations.
